Shri Yatish Kumar has taken over as the Chairman and Managing Director (Additional Charge) of Braithwaite & Co. Limited on 29.08.2023.
Shri Yatish Kumar, a 1996 batch Indian Railway Service of Mechanical Engineers (IRSME) is currently posted in Eastern Railway (ER) and holds the post of Chief Workshop Manager, Carriage & Wagon Workshop, Liluah. Shri Yatish Kumar has more than 25 years of glorious experience working with Indian Railways in various capacities. He had also been an integral part of Braithwaite & Co. Limited for Five years, serving as the Chairman & Managing Director (CMD) from 28.05.2018 to 27.05.2023 and contributed significantly to the growth and success of the company.
Shri Yatish Kumar was honoured with National Award in 2006 for outstanding contribution in Indian Railways and Five Zonal Railways Award (at General Manager level) for outstanding contribution in Eastern Railway and RDSO.
Shri Kalyan Kumar Coari
By profession, Shri Kalyan K. Coari is B. Sc., B. Com. ACMA, MBF. Previously, worked in Bharat Heavy
Electricals Limited (BHEL) as General Manager. During his service at BHEL he had discharged
responsibilities as Head of Finance in Eastern Region headquarter at Kolkata, Western Region
headquarter at Nagpur, Power Sector headquarters at New Delhi and handling Corporate Finance
Functions. He was also posted as Finance In charge of Export Project in Bangladesh. Presently, he is
posted as Director (Finance), Braithwaite & Co. Limited.
Dr. Sunil Kumar Sharma, IRSME
A 1998 batch Indian Railway Service of Mechanical Engineers (IRSME) officer, Dr. Sunil Kumar Sharma has wide and diverse experience in managing various aspects of the Railroad operations and maintenance. Dr. Sharma is known for a strong work ethic, commitment to safety, and a passion for modernizing and improving the railway system for the benefit of the public. He has handled multiple roles dealing with technology driven changes, digitization of asset maintenance and freight management activities, disaster risks, capacity building for strategic management and reconfiguring the existing work flows with efficiency and effectiveness considerations. He had creatively contributed towards unlocking the freight performance improvement potential through several innovative measures, viz. proliferating higher axle load (25T Axle load) freight operations by using existing BOXNHL fleet, rationalizing maintenance pattern, twinning of maintenance depots and long-haul rakes formation. He has been conferred with National award for outstanding contribution in 2013 by Ministry of Railways.
Dr. Sharma is currently working as Executive Director/QA (Mechanical) in Research Design and Standards Organization (RDSO), Kolkata. He has been assigned additional charge of Director (Production) of Braithwaite & Company Limited (BCL) for a period of one year with effect from October 31, 2023.
Dr. Sunil Kumar Sharma is also actively associated with various literary-social organizations & aspires to bring positive change in society. Till now, two books of Dr. Sharma have been published. In the year 2022, the Hindi poetry collection 'Had Ya Anhad' and in the year 2023, the book 'Udyog 4.0’. His research interest focuses on risk analysis and resilience management, improved project governance, digital transformation and humanization of technological development. He has contributed significant number of papers to national and international journals and conferences. Along with important research papers, his poems and articles have also been published in national and international magazines, books and leading newspapers.
Educational Background: Graduated from Madan Mohan Malaviya University of Technology, Gorakhpur. Dr. Sharma did his M. Tech from IIT-Delhi & Ph. D from Jadavpur University, Kolkata.
Mr Sachin V. Dighde
By profession, Shri Sachin V. Dighde is BE (Mechanical Engineering) from Nagpur University and M.E.
in Energy Management and system. Has more than 20 years of vast experience in Railway related works.
Has worked with Indian Railways in various posts. Have experience in all issues related to
Rehabilitation of Coaches, Management of Crew, running rooms, RCD. Coordination with several
security services, RPF. Have worked for POH of main line and EMU Coaches. Experience in Operations,
Loco links, Quality Audits of Railway Workshops, Purchase Inspection of Safety and other Items,
Vendor Development. Previously worked as General Manager of RITES Ltd and Zonal Director of RDSO
(WZ) and in charge of western and southern area. Presently, he is posted as CEO, Braithwaite & Co.
